Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the Finance team by performing accounts receivable, administrative, and clerical tasks that keep the organization’s financial records accurate and up to date. This role serves as a resource to internal partners, posting bank deposits, transfers, and billings for properties, and reflects the HDC mission while working closely with stakeholders across the organization. This position ensures receivables are processed accurately and on time, financial records are maintained with a high degree of precision and confidentiality, and departmental processes are executed in compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations.

Accounts Receivable

  • Post payments from various sources including all rents, scanned deposits, and payments made to corporate entities
  • Post monthly HAPs
  • Process and post billings and charges (payroll, health insurance, cell phone, management fees, etc.)
  • Deposit monthly escrow checks
  • Transfer money for security deposit move-outs
  • Responsible for opening and closing all new bank accounts and maintaining accurate signers and records
  • Manages the Ramp company credit card program for all employees, including reviewing and posting charges

General Finance Support

  • Other department duties as assigned

Education, experience, and special requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounts receivable or related accounting experience
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and background check required

Normal work environment:

•Work environment will be indoors and outdoors and will require occasional travel.

•Requires moderate physical demands; lifting up to 5 pounds, continuous standing, bending, walking, and lifting.
