COMET Project Manager in Huntsville, Alabama at Nou Systems Inc

We are pleased to announce the opening for a COMET Project Manager who will join our Engineering Services team in Huntsville, AL and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for providing technical expertise and professional services to key stakeholders in support of missile and space defense.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll assist the Program Manager in coordinating with the Government, sharing responsibility for the overall direction, management, quality, and efficiency of the contract. The Project Manager must demonstrate proven experience supporting the management of large, complex programs and co-leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring operational continuity, and maintaining the professional and ethical performance of all contractor personnel.
• Help establish clear organizational lines of authority and responsibility for all assigned Task Orders.
• Ensure effective management of all resources assigned to the program.
• Help establish oversight over all awarded Task Order labor force and ensure successful completion of contract objectives.
• Ensure all program activities meet applicable standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Aid in managing project operations to ensure production schedules are met, system resources are utilized effectively, and that proper relationships are established between customers.
• Support the Program Manager in the responsibility of cost, schedule, performance and risk identification / mitigation on projects including but not limited to systems, tools, equipment, software, facilities and other activities.
• Help assign, coordinate, and monitor work efforts to ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
• Aid in providing strategic direction, anticipate risks, and develop mitigation plans to ensure cost, schedule, and performance objectives are met.

Basic Qualifications:

• You must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field plus 5 additional years of relevant senior-level experience.
• You will need minimum 12 years of professional full-time experience. Prefer a portion of experience within the last 2 years of directly supporting Government or DoW programs.
• You must possess or can obtain an active TS/SCI clearance.
• You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a project manager providing support to contracts of a similar size, scope and complexity is highly desirable.

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification.
