Job Summary

As an Operations Leader at Legendary Dogs, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our store locations. Your primary focus will be inventory management, maintaining organized operational systems, and supporting the front-of-house team to create a seamless customer experience.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies
  • Oversee the accurate receiving, storing, and organization of inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels and prevent shortages.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, track stock levels, and manage reorder processes to ensure product availability.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to support timely delivery and restocking of products.
  • Maintain clean, organized back-of-house areas in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manage incoming shipments, including unpacking, labeling, organizing, and storing products efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of inventory movements and transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and overall efficiency.
  • Assist the front-of-house team with inventory-related questions and provide timely support to fulfill customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand product demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
  • Ensure products are properly stocked, organized, and readily available for the front-of-house team.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition, addressing discrepancies or concerns promptly.
  • Monitor expiration dates of applicable products and ensure proper rotation to minimize waste.
  • Implement and uphold standard operating procedures for the handling and storage of products.
  • Lead and train team members on operational procedures, systems, and standards.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback and recommendations to improve operational processes.
  • Serve as a resource to team members and support day-to-day store operations as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must love dogs!
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in operations, inventory management, retail, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, retail operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing, walking, and moving throughout the location.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn and utilize company systems.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $19.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Benefits: Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and paid time off.

Schedule: Variable shifts; no two days are the same.
