Business Analyst I in Spartanburg, South Carolina at SWJ TECHNOLOGY, LLC

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst I for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing. This role is a [contractor or direct hire] position based in Spartanburg, SC that requires 20% onsite presence and approximately 80% remote work. PURPOSE:
This role supports the rollout, ongoing operations, and enhancement of the Company's global Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) platform, OpenText Advanced Authentication, across multiple departments and locations worldwide. The contractor will serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert for MFA, authentication technologies, identity and access management, and related IT security initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support and maintain the Company's global MFA environment (OpenText Advanced Authentication).
• Serve as a technical lead on medium to large initiatives as directed by the Product Owner and Manager.
• Provide consultation and subject matter expertise on authentication, access management, and IT security topics.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and develop work orders for external suppliers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex MFA-related incidents and requests, escalating to global support teams as needed.
• Provide Level 3 support for authentication platforms, applications, and processes.
• Assist with ensuring system integrity, security, scalability, and ongoing enhancements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and automated test scripts using Postman.
• Perform unit and integration testing and support automated testing and deployment processes.
• Define and adhere to development standards, testing procedures, documentation requirements, and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS::
• BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, Business, or a related field; or the equivalent of four (4) years of experience in an IT application or infrastructure role.
• Training in systems used in the assigned area of responsibility is preferred.
• Project Management training or certification preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 3+ years of experience with IT governance and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 3+ years of experience planning, analyzing, testing, and designing IT solutions.
• 3+ years of project leadership or system responsibility experience in an IT environment.
• 3+ years of systems analysis experience.
• 3+ years of experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong experience with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) technologies.
• Background in IT Security, authentication, and access control solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting complex incidents and providing Level 3 support.
• Experience creating technical documentation and test plans/scripts.
• Basic knowledge of databases, operating systems, and IT-relevant infrastructure.
• Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Experience with Postman and automated testing.
• Previous experience supporting enterprise-scale or global IT environments.
• Experience with authentication platforms such as OpenText Advanced Authentication or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with automated deployment processes and testing methodologies.
• Training in systems related to the assigned area of responsibility.
• Project Management training or certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
• Location: Spartanburg, SC - Hybrid work – 80% remote, 20% onsite
• Schedule: Day shift, 40h/w, weekend as required
• Overtime: as required
• Assignment Start: ASAP
