Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist in West Plains, Missouri at Ozarks Healthcare

Ozarks Healthcare is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to join our Medical Staff Services team as a Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist. This position supports the credentialing, recredentialing, privileging, and onboarding of physicians and advanced practice providers while helping ensure compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, Medical Staff Bylaws, and organizational policies. The Credentialing Specialist serves as an important liaison between providers, Medical Staff leadership, hospital departments, and external organizations.
This is not a routine clerical position. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and work independently within complex regulatory and compliance frameworks. The position is ideal for an individual who enjoys problem solving, has strong critical-thinking skills, possesses advanced office and computer skills, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
