Payroll Clerk in Caguas at Aireko

Summary:

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for supporting payroll operations by accurately processing employee compensation, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with applicable payroll regulations and company procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred.
• At least 1(one) or 2 (two) years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in payroll management or related field.
• Experience with payroll software and systems.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities:

• Verify attendance, hours worked, vacation and sick leave, overtime and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
• Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
• Compute wages and deductions and enter data into computers.
• Process various types of payrolls (regular, bonuses, etc.)
• Prepare payments and deposits related to the IRS, ASUME, wage garnishments, income tax, etc.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Assist the Payroll Accountant with quarterly compliance processes.
• Work collaboratively with the Human Resources and payroll team to meet deadlines and follow established procedures.
• Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
