In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain the semantic data layer, centralizing business rules and ensuring consistency across teams.
- Act as a guardian of data quality, organizing datasets for easy accessibility and effective consumption.
- Interface with stakeholders to translate business needs into efficient dimensional models and logical structures.
- Implement AI-driven automation to optimize data processing, documentation, and workflow management.
- Maintain and evolve orchestration pipelines, unit tests, and version control processes following engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is reliable, actionable, and serves as a decision-making engine.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills and analytical thinking:
- Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations and query optimization.
- Solid experience in data modeling and analytics environments (dimensional modeling).
- Practical knowledge of programming languages (preferably Python), orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster), and version control systems (Git).
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, including table optimization and processing efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing or Data Lakehouse architectures.
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows and openness to integrating generative AI in analytical processes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and unit testing for analytics workflows.
