What We Need:
We are looking for an experienced industrial painter preferably with automotive painting experience to work 2nd shift at our 60 Filbert St. Hanover, PA location. This position prepares and applies paint coatings to products according to customer specifications.
A Day in the Life of:
- Mixes paints to match customer color specifications.
- Applies various pigmented coatings to products in specialized paint booths with precision and attention to detail.
- Cleans and maintains HVLP paint system.
- Maintains paint booth including filters and dirt traps.
- Stages materials required for coating process.
- Cleans and maintains respirators.
- Handles and disposes of hazardous waste in accordance with all environmental laws and OSHA regulations.
- Trains new Painters, providing feedback to the trainee and Plant Manager regarding performance.
- Provides direction for Paint team members, assisting the production supervisor/manager as needed.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What Makes You Qualified:
- HS Diploma/GED or equivalent industrial experience.
- 1+ years’ experience in a Painter-level I role
- Experience in auto-body painting, powder coating or other HVLP application systems preferred
Must Haves:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
