The Creekside School is a specialized, nonpublic school serving students with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and technology-enabled learning environment where students and staff can thrive.
We are looking for an experienced, service-oriented IT Support Specialist who enjoys solving problems, supporting people, and keeping technology running smoothly. This position plays an important role in ensuring our classrooms, offices, and educational technology systems operate efficiently every day.
What You’ll DoAs our IT Support Specialist, you will provide day-to-day technical support for staff and maintain the technology infrastructure that supports student learning and school operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to teachers, staff, and administrators
- Troubleshooting computer, printer, network, and software issues
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, tablets, and other devices
- Managing Google Workspace accounts, passwords, and user permissions
- Supporting Chromebooks, iPads, and other student devices
- Assisting with classroom technology including projectors, interactive displays, and instructional technology
- Performing software updates, security patches, and antivirus maintenance
- Maintaining technology inventory and equipment records
- Supporting Wi-Fi connectivity and basic network infrastructure
- Assisting with technology setup for meetings, school events, and state testing
- Providing basic technology training and support to school staff
- Helping ensure compliance with technology security and data privacy requirements
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, patient, and enjoys helping others solve technical problems. They are comfortable working independently while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced school environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of IT support experience
- Experience supporting Windows and Mac operating systems
- Experience with Google Workspace
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and device management
- Experience supporting Chromebooks, iPads, or other educational technology
- Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience working in a school or educational setting is preferred
