Balkema Sitework and Development is seeking an experienced Mechanic/Disel Mechanic

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools
- Conduct inspections and perform necessary repairs on brakes, suspension, and other vehicle components
- Complete tire services including rotations, replacements, and repairs
- Fabricate and weld parts as needed for repairs or modifications
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with diesel engines
- Proficiency in automotive repair and maintenance techniques
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Experience with tire service, including mounting, balancing, and repairing tires
- Forklift operation experience is a plus
- Ability to fabricate and weld parts as needed
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance schedules and procedures
- Proficient in the use of power tools and other equipment necessary for repairs
- Knowledge of shocks, struts, and suspension systems is preferred

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic who is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, as well as experience with automotive diagnostics.

• 8-10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Saturdays as needed
