This role supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, quality repairs on diesel equipment and mobile fleet service. Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavy-duty trucks and trailers • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues • Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met • Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment • Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership Qualifications • 3+ years of diesel maintenance experience preferred (fleet, dealership, independent, or light mechanical shop) • Mobile experience preferred, but not required for a shop technician • ASE T-Series certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required) What We Offer • Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications • Paid ASE testing and certification support • Wage increases tied to ASE certifications and skill progression • Consistent workload with modern equipment • Training opportunities and access to diagnostic tools • Stable schedule and long-term growth potential Why This Role Works This isn’t just a wrench-turning job.
