Wear-Tek is a Steel Foundry and Machine Facility Located in Spokane, WA. We are currently seeking a full-time Industrial Electrician to become a long-term member of our team. We have an excellent team of knowledgeable and dedicated people pulling towards the common goal of being profitable.

General Summary:

This position will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will be responsible for performing journey-level work in the safe and efficient design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Must be available for any shift and overtime as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment
  • Inspecting electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair
  • Diagnosing system and component malfunctions. correction of the cause of the breakdown.
  • Ensuring equipment is in good working condition - Maintaining accurate records

Pay and Benefits:

  • $28.00 - $38.00 per hour.
  • Monthly profit-sharing bonuses after 90 days.

Requirements:

  • Diagnosing system and component malfunctions and correcting the cause of the breakdown.
  • Ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
  • Maintaining accurate records.

Job Requirements:

  • This position will be able to perform inspections, repairs and rebuilds of plant equipment.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with 3 phase power REQUIRED.
  • Two (2) years' experience in maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Willing to climb ladders, walk up and down steps and work at heights.
  • Must have attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and positive team attitude.
  • Ability to read/write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Foundry experience a plus.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, type, or feel. The employee is required to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high noise, consistent with a steel foundry and machine facility.

SAFETY

  • All employees are required to report any safety concerns and encourage the safety of others.
  • All Employees working in the maintenance shop areas are required to wear steel-toed leather boots with a minimum 6” ankle height, approved safety glasses, and hearing protection while working near operating equipment.
  • Safety training and following safety policies and procedures for each department is required.
