Program Manager, Career Development

Your Opportunity

The Program Manager leads a portfolio of programs and initiatives that support students’ career readiness, leadership development, and community engagement. The Manager serves as the primary point of contact for students enrolled in signature programs and plays a key role in delivery, communications, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the AVP, Student Experience, the Manager oversees the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of signature programs, working closely with other University departments, students, faculty, alumni, employers, donors, and community partners to create impactful experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery and ongoing enhancement of signature programs, including National Builder Program, Scotiabank Career Accelerator, RBC Community Innovation Bootcamps, mentorship programs, and other initiatives.
  • Manage program operations, including recruitment, applications, cohort management, internships, workshops, and events.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for current and prospective students participating in programs and supports a positive and engaging student experience.
  • Plan and execute high-quality events, speakers’ series, workshops, and student engagement activities.
  • Monitor program budgets, timelines, deliverables, and participant feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across the University to promote programs and support an exceptional student experience.
  • Build strong relationships with employers, alumni, donor, and community partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a relevant role such as program management or student services.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries with professionalism, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Strong analytical thinking, judgement, and problem-solving skills; able to work collaboratively to identify solutions and address underlying issues.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities that support the management of multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to represent Huron effectively in all interactions.
  • Self-motivated and committed to identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities with respect, sensitivity, creativity, innovation, and cultural understanding.

Compensation:

This is a full-time, permanent position. Salary commensurate with experience: $80,000 - $87,000
