BTY's Infrastructure Advisory Team provide technical advisory services to banks, rating agencies, financial institutions, developers, public authorities and investors amongst others, on Infrastructure projects through all phases of an asset's lifecycle, including pre-construction, construction and operating phases. The role of the project consultant will be to support on the various elements that form BTY's reporting including a review of commercial contracts, the consortium's capabilities, regulatory approvals, environmental and geotechnical conditions, construction schedules, construction pricing, facility maintenance, and lifecycle. BTY provides technical advisory services across all infrastructure asset classes, including social infrastructure projects (hospitals, courthouses, education etc.), transportation infrastructure (roads, bridges, LRT etc.), digital, water, and energy.
Our Infrastructure Advisory team is looking for a Project Consultant to join the Toronto team.
What You Get to Learn and Do
- Assist on between 5-10 projects with regular supervision.
- Prepare pre-bid and pre-financial close technical advisory reports.
- Support in the preparation of Realistic Outside Costs Analysis and Reasonable Downside Analysis.
- Attend and partake in multidisciplinary Project kick-off meetings for pre bid services.
- Attend and partake in lenders and rating agency calls.
- Complete site inspections and reports including photographs in support of construction period services.
- Undertake project research and database entry, as needed.
- Attending meetings and take notes, as needed.
- Work closely with senior team members to determine project changes.
- Undertaking project tasks and provide administrative support as needed.
- Be aware of market intelligence and market rates for construction as well as different procurement routes and contracts in the marketplace.
- Networks occasionally promoting the business, cross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships.
What You'll Bring
- Having 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- University Degree or equivalent to any of the following: Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying
- Working towards a relevant professional qualification will be considered an asset: PQS, MRICS, P. Eng, PMP.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with good organizational, communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and ability to work to own initiatives.
- Demonstrates attention to detail to produce quality work with good time management.
- Hold a valid drivers license.
- Eligible to work in Canada or pursuing a work permit.

The typical hiring range for this Toronto role is $60,000-$80,000 CAD per year. This represents base salary only, not total compensation, and BTY Group may offer more or less depending on a candidate's experience and qualifications. Compensation takes into account education, training, experience, location, market factors, and internal alignment. In line with Ontario Pay Transparency rules, a candidate's past salary will not be considered in determining pay.
