As Safe Air Technology continues its rapid expansion in the mission-critical HVAC industry, this leader will play a pivotal role in building the supply chain infrastructure, processes, and team necessary to support the next phase of the company's growth.

The Senior Director of Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the right materials are available, at the right cost, at the right time, to meet production schedules and customer commitments. This executive-level leader will oversee Purchasing, Inventory Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Strategic Sourcing, and Vendor Management while developing scalable systems that support operational excellence and future growth.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Production and serves as a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Executive Leadership to achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company's long-term supply chain strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead the overall direction of Purchasing, Inventory Control, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Supplier Management.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing leaders and teams while establishing a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support revenue growth, manufacturing capacity, and operational scalability.
  • Create scalable processes and organizational structure capable of supporting the company's continued growth.

Strategic Supply Chain Planning

  • Develop and maintain strategic supply chain plans that support production schedules and future demand.
  • Ensure uninterrupted material availability while balancing inventory investment and operational efficiency.
  • Identify supply chain risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Lean Material Acquisition (LMA) initiatives across the supply chain organization.

Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management

  • Develop sourcing strategies that strengthen supplier relationships while reducing cost and improving performance.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and long-term vendor partnerships.
  • Identify and execute cost savings initiatives without compromising quality or delivery performance.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.

Inventory Management

  • Develop inventory strategies that maximize inventory accuracy, improve turnover, and optimize working capital.
  • Ensure inventory planning aligns with production requirements and customer demand.
  • Improve inventory control processes and establish best practices across warehouse operations.

Logistics & Transportation

  • Oversee domestic and international logistics, freight management, transportation, and distribution.
  • Optimize transportation strategies to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and maintain delivery performance.
  • Ensure shipping operations effectively support production and customer requirements.

Performance Management

  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) across all supply chain functions.
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive informed business decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into organizational performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure alignment across all departments.
  • Support production by ensuring material readiness to meet manufacturing schedules and customer commitments.
  • Lead initiatives that improve communication, planning, forecasting, and execution across the organization.

Leadership Expectations

The Senior Director of Supply Chain is expected to operate as a strategic business leader who balances long-term planning with day-to-day execution. This individual must possess exceptional organizational skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead multiple functional areas while developing future leaders within the organization.

Success in this role requires the ability to create structure in a fast-paced environment, solve complex operational challenges, and build systems that allow the company to scale without sacrificing quality, efficiency, or customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required.
  • Master's degree or advanced business education preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Sage 100 a plus), inventory planning, forecasting, and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and operational reporting.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Lean Material Acquisition (LMA), Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

About This Opportunity

This is not a traditional supply chain leadership role.

Safe Air Technology is experiencing rapid growth, and we are seeking an executive-level leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments where building systems is just as important as managing people.

This position requires exceptional organization, strategic thinking, decisive leadership, and the ability to build scalable processes while supporting production with urgency and precision. The successful candidate will lead through influence, develop strong leaders, make difficult decisions, and create a supply chain organization capable of supporting the company's long-term growth objectives.

Every day presents new challenges, and success will require adaptability, ownership, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to operational excellence.

If you are looking for an opportunity to build something meaningful, lead transformational change, and make a lasting impact on a rapidly growing manufacturing organization, we encourage you to apply.
