Position Title: Mechanical Maintenance - 3rd Shift

Maintenance Technician
Location: Hendersonville
Pay: $26.00/hour
Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM + OT
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a leading juice and beverage manufacturing facility in Hendersonville, NC. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where equipment reliability and production uptime are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on manufacturing equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and facility equipment.
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from 120VAC to 480VAC.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and complete preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize downtime.
Repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, motors, valves, sensors, cylinders, and other mechanical components.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
Identify replacement parts, maintain spare parts inventory, and coordinate parts ordering when necessary.
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
Accurately document repairs, maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders.
Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and OSHA regulations.
Ensure compliance with food safety, SQF, quality, and GMP standards within the manufacturing facility.
Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to maximize equipment performance and minimize production interruptions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent industrial maintenance training preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the food, beverage, or juice manufacturing industry.
Experience maintaining high-speed production and packaging equipment.
Steamer certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Experience with conveyors, fillers, pumps, motors, compressors, and automated production equipment.
