About the Role
The role of the Practice Leader is an in clinic/ hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operational and financial performance of one or more clinics. This role leads clinical staff and physicians to build a high-performing clinic with a strong culture within the clinic. The Practice Leader focuses on day-to-day operations while delivering continuous improvement, driving an increase to P&L performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Financial Management
- Plan, organize and manage daily clinical operations and performance.
- Hiring/staffing non-clinical roles while supporting ongoing training for support staff
- Manage and monitor P&L performance, budgets, and forecasts
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to access, quality, and financial results, and take action to address performance gaps.
- Identify and, in partnership with Regional and Clinical Leadership, implement practical process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency across clinics.
- In collaboration and coordination with the Senior Leadership Team and Regional Vice
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and operational standards.
Culture, Engagement & Talent Development
- Promote a collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered culture across the practice.
- Support the interview process for clinical roles by ensuring clear understanding of clinic operations, team engagement, and role impact; act as onsite liaison during the in-person interview process and provide support to clinical leadership throughout the interview process.
- Coach clinic staff on performance expectations, goal setting, and problem solving, engaging in formal corrective action and performance management where necessary.
- Partner with Regional Leadership to support training, engagement initiatives, and retention efforts.
- Build strong working relationships with physicians, RMDs, and internal partners through clear communication and follow-through.
Practice Growth & Planning
- Support and execute practice-level business plans in partnership with Outreach Specialists
- Drive sustainable volume growth and revenue by strengthening referral relationships, improving access, and identifying local growth opportunities.
- Assist with practice expansion initiatives, including new clinicians, service offerings, or clinic openings, following established operational standards.
- Stay informed on local market dynamics and competitive activity to inform near-term planning and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in clinic management, operations, or a related leadership role.
- Prior experience in healthcare or multi-site environments preferred.
- Working knowledge of P&L management and basic financial concepts.
- Ability to execute growth and operational plans at the clinic or practice level.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, including achieving stakeholder buy-in
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build trust, and drive engagement.
- Ability to successfully lead through change, including instilling a sense of urgency and motivating teams
- Ability and willingness to engage in performance management and administer corrective action
Pay range: $___85,000___to __110,000___ This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The employee may be eligible for bonuses and other forms of compensation.
