We are currently seeking an experienced:
REGIONAL MOBILITY TRANSPORT SPECIALIST
(Fayetteville/Clinton)
JOB SUMMARY:
- After notification by the Transportation Coordinator of the needed appointment, they will safely transport all residents/patients/clients, as well as other individuals/clients external to Liberty Health facilities.
- Will maintain a calendar of all appointments and ensure all assigned transports are completed.
- Will follow all safety guidelines to ensure resident transports are performed in the safest possible manner.
- Will maintain required paper/electronic logs for each transport and for each vehicle.
- Completes Quality Assurance monitors according to policies and procedures.
- Assists in maintaining a good working relationship with the community, hospitals, physician offices and other health care facilities and agencies and assures professional services for residents/clients.
- Will assist with basic vehicle maintenance, including inspections, restocking, vehicle and equipment cleaning/disinfecting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older, must be of good moral character, and have a genuine concern for the elderly and disabled.
- Must have CPR, First Aid Training, and wheelchair safety training. Must possess one of the following certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Medical Responder.
- Must have a skill checklist completed by a Liberty trainer prior to transporting residents.
- Must have a valid state Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle with an appropriate driving record. Criminal/Driving records must be approved by the Transportation Manager.
- Must be willing to work with various department directors, patients, family members, and community health care providers.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, and follow-up on work assignments.
- Must have the ability to make independent decisions and work well under pressure.
- Must have the ability to be flexible in performing different tasks.
- Must be willing and able to transport clients to destinations throughout North Carolina and any other areas in which Liberty Medical Transportation operates, as directed by the Transportation Scheduling Coordinator.
