About the Role

The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and managing international shipments to ensure materials and goods are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role will oversee shipping documentation, monitor inbound shipments, work closely with freight forwarders and logistics providers, and ensure compliance with international trade and transportation regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years previous experience in logistics management or coordination
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
  • Proficient in logistics software, ERP systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage international shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoices (CI), Packing Lists (PL), Importer Security Filings (ISF), and Automated Export System (AES) filings.
  • Coordinate and monitor inbound shipments to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery across multiple transportation modes.
  • Manage relationships and performance of logistics service providers and freight forwarders, identify systemic operational issues, and implement corrective actions to improve service quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to develop and optimize inter- and intra-company logistics processes, drive waste reduction and process efficiency improvements.
  • Define, track, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations to internal and external stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex international logistics challenges, proactively monitor shipment statuses, resolve delays, and manage shipment exceptions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA), International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) regulations, international trade laws, customs requirements, and internal policies.
