This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced risk professional who enjoys solving complex problems and improving how organizations manage operational risk.

Accountabilities
  • Partner with business and technology teams to document end-to-end processes, procedures, risks, controls, and supporting workflows.
  • Coordinate GRC-related projects, remediation initiatives, deliverables, dependencies, milestones, and action items to support timely execution.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, interviews, and working sessions to identify process gaps, control requirements, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, control narratives, risk assessments, control inventories, and related governance artifacts.
  • Assist in designing new preventive and detective controls and enhancing existing controls to address identified risks.
  • Monitor action plans, issues, dependencies, and remediation activities while helping stakeholders maintain alignment and momentum.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable processes, procedures, and control documentation.
  • Prepare management- and executive-level status reports, presentations, updates, and risk-related communications.
  • Support internal reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations by gathering, organizing, and maintaining required documentation and evidence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency across digital workplace activities.
  • Apply sound operational risk management practices, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of professional experience, with substantial experience supporting Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC) programs in financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business and technology teams to identify, document, evaluate, and improve processes and procedures.
  • Strong experience creating process flows, procedures, risk assessments, control inventories, control narratives, and other governance documentation.
  • Solid understanding of operational risk management concepts and experience developing, documenting, and maintaining preventive and detective controls.
  • Knowledge of established control frameworks and standards such as COSO, SOX, Operational Risk Management, NIST, or COBIT is preferred.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills, including the ability to track deliverables, action items, dependencies, remediation activities, and milestones.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, interviews, and stakeholder working sessions to gather requirements and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, accurate, and professional documentation for different audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and drive progress without direct authority.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and creating structure where processes, procedures, or controls are not yet fully established.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Constructive approach to challenging existing processes and recommending practical, sustainable improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as Visio and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Jira, or Confluence.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and commitment to building productive relationships with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
Benefits
  • 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion.
  • Fully remote work arrangement within the United States.
  • Opportunity to contribute to governance, risk, controls, and process-improvement initiatives within a regulated environment.
  • Exposure to cross-functional business and technology teams, audits, examinations, and executive-level risk reporting.
  • Opportunity to influence processes and controls while working across multiple organizational functions.
  • Role suited to experienced risk professionals seeking a combination of analysis, project coordination, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Target start date of September 21, 2026.
