Job Description
OVERVIEW & PURPOSEOptimized IT is regional in scope, providing Managed IT Services to small to mid-sized organizations including Business, Not-for-Profit, and K-12 markets. We are seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Support Technician with good client communication skills and an appetite to solve problems.Job Summary: The IT Procurement Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the management, budgeting, and documentation of the Assets for Optimized IT and all Optimized IT’s clients. This role will also involve collaboration work with members of Optimized IT’s Sales, Service and Administrative teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAsset Management: Assistwith purchasing and managing IT assets.Responsible for product support and warranties, renewals, maintenance, and software contracts, as well as hardware purchases, and license information. Maintain vendor contract data. Receiving and tagging equipment. Entering asset information into asset tracking softwaresystem. Obtain and review competitive bids, quotes, and proposals from vendors and contractors; discuss evaluations and review with requesters and subject matter experts.Maintain product catalog cost and pricing.Provide pricing quotes for items andpreparing,orders with suppliers. Responsible for shipping defective equipment tovendorand arranging replacement. Research products and equipment; prepare product/equipment specifications. Research websites/contact vendors to gather technical information and prices on supplies and equipmentWorks withITTeam tomaintainrepositoryof enterprise software licenses/keys.Help coordinate purchases for team when service-related needs ariseAsset Budget / Documentation:
Establish andmaintainvendor relationships. Negotiate with vendors for the best price over contracted services and purchases, as well as future purchases.Coordinate with selected vendors on supply and delivery of purchased items.EOL-End of life managementResponsible for all surplus inventories including recording all End of Life (EOL) inventories and disposal.Responsible for decommissioning assets and oversee surplus removal asneeded (Ewaste)COMPETENCIESExperience with software licensing and volumepurchasingagreements for the major enterprise system software suppliers (e.g., SonicWALL, HP, Microsoft...) Experience in presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective. Experience in planning and carrying out software license audits & reconcilements.
