For over 100 years, The DeLong Co., Inc. has provided information, products, and services to the farming industry. We're hiring a Millwright based out of our Clinton, WI location to support our grain elevator and agronomy facilities.

The DeLong Co., Inc. has served the farming industry for over 100 years. We're looking for a hands-on millwright to join our team in Clinton, WI and support our grain elevator and agronomy facilities. You'll weld, install, repair, and troubleshoot the equipment that keeps a critical part of the food supply running, and no two weeks look the same.
Travel: What to Expect

• Travel up to 75% of the time to our elevator and agronomy locations [region, e.g., WI, IL, and surrounding states], including overnight stays

• Lodging is paid by DeLong

• Meals are covered by a per diem based on location

• All tools and transportation are provided

• Extended hours are part of the job during busy seasons, including some weekends
What You'll Do

• Weld repairs on existing structures and equipment

• Install new structures and equipment

• Repair and maintain conveyors and bucket elevators

• Perform preventative maintenance (greasing, checking tension, checking oil levels)

• Troubleshoot breakdowns and help resolve production bottlenecks

• Spot and carry out safety improvements, working with OSHA and outside consultants on projects

• Log completed work in our online maintenance system (CMMS)

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of welding (stick and MIG) or industrial maintenance experience

• Ability to install bearings, motors, and gearboxes

• Ability to read blueprints and use tape measures and other measuring tools

• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
A Plus, But Not Required

• Grain handling or agricultural experience (we'll train you)

• Trade school certificate

• Experience operating skid loaders, telehandlers, or similar equipment

• Existing DNSF, CSX, NCCCO, or TWIC certifications. If a certification is required for the job, DeLong pays for it.
Physical Requirements

This is physical, outdoor work. You'll need to be able to climb up to 200', work in confined spaces, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods, and repeatedly lift 50 lbs. overhead. Work is year-round and sometimes dusty.
