This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer based in United States.
This role is an opportunity to help operate and strengthen cloud infrastructure supporting a broad portfolio of enterprise applications.
You will maintain production environments, troubleshoot infrastructure incidents, provision new platforms, and support upgrades across complex cloud ecosystems.
Working as part of a distributed global operations team, you will contribute to reliable and secure services with 24/7 operational coverage.
The position combines hands-on systems administration with cross-functional collaboration across Support, Engineering, and Professional Services.
You will also contribute to infrastructure modernization, security initiatives, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Success in this role requires strong technical judgment, customer awareness, and a commitment to resilient, well-documented operations.

- Support and maintain production cloud infrastructure and underlying platforms across a broad portfolio of applications.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents while maintaining service availability and reliability.
- Upgrade, modify, and optimize infrastructure to meet customer and business requirements.
- Provision new cloud environments and infrastructure for product delivery and internal initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Support, Engineering, and Professional Services on internal projects and customer-facing implementations.
- Administer and support Windows and Linux environments, cloud instances, SQL Server, networking components, and related systems.
- Work with AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms, deployment pipelines, and operational tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Develop and maintain knowledge bases and technical documentation to reduce dependency on tribal knowledge and improve operational scalability.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, process standardization, and cross-functional documentation initiatives.
- Co-lead or support major infrastructure improvement projects, including operating-system modernization and security or compliance initiatives.
- Research emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and operational best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strengthen cloud platform resiliency, availability, security, and operational performance for customers and their applications.
- Contribute to ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes and provide effective customer support during operational or project-related issues.
- At least 3 years of experience in Cloud Operations and Systems Administration using cloud platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 3 years of experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments and working with cloud platforms.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting web-based solutions, including WebLogic and Tomcat.
- Working knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems management, SQL Server, networking principles, telephony systems, and systems administration best practices.
- At least 2 years of experience working within an ITIL framework, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a distributed environment.
- Experience working directly with customers in a support, project delivery, or service environment.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a global, collaborative team.
- Experience with Windows Server, SQL Server, and Linux-based systems in a software, managed services, or cloud solutions environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with large-scale ERP solutions delivered through cloud environments is advantageous.
- Experience with Datadog or comparable systems monitoring practices is preferred.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts, including encryption and access management.
- Understanding of networking concepts and certificate management practices.
- Experience in customer relationship management or customer-facing technical operations is a plus.
