Job Description

As a member of the Computronix Finance team, you will combine Senior Accountant-level expertise with strong business understanding and the capacity to grow into broader Finance leadership. You will help ensure accurate financial reporting, effective controls, sound budgeting and planning, and clear interpretation of financial results.

This role will also develop a deep understanding of Computronix's revenue model, project accounting, financial systems, intercompany cross-border activity, and historical business context. We are looking for someone who can move beyond producing numbers to asking whether they make sense, identifying what matters, and bringing forward well-supported recommendations.

In This Role, You Will...

  • Financial Reporting and Close: Review financial activity and recurring reports for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with GAAP; support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, and present month-end financial statements to the Executive Team.

  • Analysis and Recommendations: Interpret financial results, validate assumptions, identify significant trends, risks, and anomalies, and present clear findings and recommendations to leaders.

  • Budgeting and Performance: Support quarterly budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting against financial and operating objectives.

  • Revenue and Project Accounting: Develop expertise in Computronix's support and subscription revenue, project financial information, and the historical context needed to answer complex questions.

  • Controls and Compliance: Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies and procedures; support regulatory filings and compliance with applicable federal, provincial, state, and local requirements.

  • Audit, Tax, and External Relationships: Coordinate audit and tax preparation activities and work effectively with auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, government representatives, vendors, and other external partners. Provide accounting support for R & D tax credit submissions.

  • Systems and Process Improvement: Assess accounting practices, reporting, and systems for opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, automation, and cross-company consistency; recommend practical solutions.

  • Risk Awareness: Monitor financial risks, commitments, investments, insurance, and contract or compliance matters within the scope of the role, escalating and recommending action when appropriate.

  • Knowledge Transfer and Leadership Growth: Document critical processes and historical knowledge, support the Finance team, and take on broader leadership and special-project responsibilities as capability develops.

You're a Great Fit If You Have...

  • Senior Accountant-level experience in accounting, close, financial reporting, and analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience with budgeting, audit, tax, and financial or project reporting.

  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills; experience with QuickBooks, Planning Maestro/Centage, Navan Travel & Expense, or similar tools is helpful.

  • The ability to understand what is driving financial results, test whether conclusions make sense and distinguish the most important factors.

  • Strong business acumen and the confidence to present thoughtful, evidence-based recommendations.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to make financial information accessible to non-financial audiences.

  • Initiative, curiosity, professional skepticism, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

  • The ability to work independently, build trust, and collaborate across teams and offices.

  • Leadership potential and a desire to take on broader Finance responsibility over time.

  • An Accounting degree and CPA designation, strongly preferred.
