Position Overview
We are seeking a Pressing & Finishing Operator to join our Manufacturing team at our Lewiston, Maine facility.
This role is responsible for blending, pressing, sintering, finishing, inspecting, and documenting precision near net shape components that meet strict engineering and customer specifications. The Pressing & Finishing Operator will operate multiple pieces of production equipment, perform quality inspections, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and help maintain efficient manufacturing operations in a safe, team-oriented environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on manufacturing, operating a variety of equipment, and producing high-quality components that support aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and energy industries.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor multiple production processes including blending, pressing, sintering, finishing, grinding, tumbling, and inspection equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and product specifications to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools while accurately recording production and quality data.
- Complete equipment adjustments, basic troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and process documentation to maintain efficient production.
- Utilize computer systems to complete production transactions, material movements, non-conformance reports, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Train new operators, support continuous improvement efforts, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures while supporting production goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Basic computer proficiency for manufacturing documentation and production reporting
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn multiple manufacturing processes and operate a variety of production equipment
- Must meet ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) employment requirements
