Data Science Manager II, Digital Partnerships

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Science Manager II, Digital Partnerships based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead data science initiatives that directly influence business growth, customer acquisition, and profitability.
You will oversee a team of data scientists while shaping quantitative strategies for a fast-growing digital partnerships channel.
The position combines advanced analytics, machine learning, experimentation, and business strategy to drive measurable outcomes.
You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, finance, pricing, underwriting, and business development teams.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the data science strategy for a digital partnerships portfolio, driving performance improvements and enabling data-informed business decisions. You will manage a team of quantitative professionals while partnering with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, optimize operations, and deliver measurable impact.

  • Own the performance, growth, and profitability strategy for digital partnership initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a team of data scientists focused on experimentation, forecasting, optimization, and partner performance management.
  • Create analytical frameworks to measure business impact, partner value, customer acquisition efficiency, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to improve acquisition economics through pricing, underwriting, integrations, and commercial optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Finance, Business Development, and Operations to execute high-impact initiatives.
  • Influence technical and product roadmaps by providing data-driven recommendations and insights.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to guide leadership decisions.
  • Establish scalable processes and best practices to support sustainable business growth.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will bring strong quantitative expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable strategies. This role requires a combination of technical depth, business acumen, and strong communication skills.

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience applying quantitative methods to solve complex business problems.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and developing technical teams.
  • Proven ability to transform ambiguous challenges into analytical models, strategic recommendations, and measurable results.
  • Experience leading experimentation, forecasting, optimization, machine learning, or similar data science initiatives in production environments.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to make informed decisions in uncertain situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Experience with insurance, financial services, marketplaces, customer acquisition, or similar industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with attribution, incrementality measurement, partner optimization, pricing, underwriting, or risk management is preferred.
  • PhD in a quantitative discipline is a plus.
