GI TECH/CLIN ASSOC, G.I. LAB in POMONA, California at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center

Position Summary: Under general supervision of a Physician and Registered Nurse, assists in providing direct and indirect care to patients on a general or specialized unit by performing a variety of GI Tech duties. The Endoscopy Technician will prepare and maintain the scopes, instruments, equipment, and sterile environments necessary for gastroenterology procedures. Adherence to regulatory standards of Joint Commission, infection control, and a septic technique. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. BLS. Able to comprehend GI Lab specific operations; Demonstrate excellent customer skills and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technician training program; SGNA GI Technical Specialist certification; Certified Flexible Endoscopic Reprocessor(CFER). Two (2) years experience as a GI Tech

Salary range: $24.36 - $34.27 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
