Accounts Payable Analyst

Position Summary:
Accounts Payable Analyst ensures adequate coverage for critical financial processes as transaction volume continues to grow. This role supports the organization’s commitment to operational excellence, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance. It is essential to successfully navigate the upcoming multi-year audit with internal and external stakeholders and to sustain the department’s ability to scale effectively.

Full-time
Hourly, Non-Exempt Position
Monday-Friday

Essential Responsibilities:
Process high volumes of invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Review, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices and statements.
Ensure proper coding and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Support audit preparation activities, including documentation gathering and responding to auditor requests.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or payment issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline AP processes.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:
Back-up Accounting Analyst and Accounts Receivable Analyst position, when necessary.
Performing all other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments
Knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls Experience supporting audits is a plus
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
Positive experience with interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Experience working with financial systems.
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and the ability to learn and navigate multiple technology platforms while interacting with internal customers.
