This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Engenheiro de Dados Sênior in Brazil.

This role is part of a highly data-driven engineering environment where you will design, build, and scale modern data platforms that power critical business decisions. You will work across cloud-native architectures, developing robust ETL/ELT pipelines and ensuring reliable data flow across multiple systems. The position requires strong technical expertise in AWS and modern data stack practices, as well as the ability to translate business needs into scalable and efficient data models. Beyond traditional data engineering, you will also play a strategic role in improving data quality, governance, observability, and cost optimization in cloud environments. A key aspect of this role involves contributing to the evolution of data architecture using Data Lake and Medallion approaches. You will also have the opportunity to explore and implement AI-driven solutions, including LLM integrations and intelligent automation within data pipelines. This is a high-impact position where your work directly supports scalability, innovation, and data maturity across the organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) across AWS and GCP environments.
  • Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and delivery workflows supporting analytical and operational use cases.
  • Define and implement relational and dimensional data models, including star schema design for analytics consumption.
  • Structure data using modern architectures such as Data Lake and Medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
  • Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into robust and scalable data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud performance and costs using FinOps best practices.
  • Act as a technical reference, promoting engineering best practices, code reviews, and architectural improvements.
  • Lead initiatives involving AI integration, including LLMs, intelligent agents, and automation within data workflows.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements in engineering processes, testing, observability, and CI/CD using AI-driven approaches.
  • Design and implement integrations between data platforms and generative AI solutions ensuring scalability and responsible data usage.
Requirements:
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Solid experience with relational databases and ETL/ELT tools.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Redshift, Glue, Step Functions, S3, Athena, DMS, and related tools.
  • Knowledge of modern data architectures including Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Medallion models.
  • Experience with DataOps practices and data observability frameworks.
  • Strong experience with GitHub version control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of FinOps principles for cloud cost optimization.
  • Experience working in cloud-based data engineering environments.
  • Nice to have: AWS certifications.
  • Nice to have: experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or CDPs.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of GA4 and BigQuery.
  • Nice to have: experience integrating LLMs, AI APIs, or building AI agents.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders.
