CORMETECH has fully dedicated, state-of-the art manufacturing facilities, research and development centers and testing laboratories in Cleveland (TN) and Durham (NC). This position is based in Cleveland, TN.

Summary:

Overall responsible for physical and mechanical condition of the building, utility systems, and production equipment. Performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process to include robotic and automated systems. Maintain facility equipment, building and utility systems such as steam, chillers, and water, air and gas lines. Evening shift position - 7:00pm-7:30am, Day shift position 7:00am - 7:30pm on the 2.2.3 schedule.

Salary Range:

$32-38/hr

Essential Duties:

  • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility.
  • Installing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various electrical components and systems.
  • Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc.
  • Utilize maintenance trades and components such as welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Interpreting and understanding electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manuals.
  • Monitor/maintain facility equipment such as, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, chillers.
  • Documenting completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting with minimum supervision and provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff or production associates.
  • Interacting occasionally with external vendors, peers, and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment.
  • Operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Aid in building security, operate alarm and fire protection systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be available to work OT when operationally necessary.

Additional Duties:

  • Special projects as assigned
  • Plant HazMat response team
  • Plant First Responder (CPR, AED)
Requirements:
  • Electro-mechanical technician tests, operates, and maintains robotic equipment
  • Specialized training in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent experience,
  • Experience in three or more maintenance disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
  • Working knowledge of conveyors, gear reduction and torque calculations, materials of construction, bearings, lubricants, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with Electrical Systems and National Electric Code.
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming, industrial controls, AC and DC drives, facility equipment, schematics, controls troubleshooting/diagnosis, systems design, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with LOTO, confined space, fall protection and electrical hazard best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient with MMS and MS applications.
