Job Description
Job Title: Quality Manager
Department: Quality
Reports To: Director of Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary:$80k-110k
Summary: Responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO and ALECP standards.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Completes Root Cause Analysis.*
2. Maintains QMS System Reviews production process for conformance to quality standards.*
3. Completes Intertek and ISO Audits.*
4. Maintains effective communication with different departments Acts as liaison for all matters relating to quality of produced goods.*
5. Maintains responsibility for CAR, SCAR and NCP systems.*
6. Maintains accuracy and attention to detail.*
7. Maintains and reports product conformance to engineering through inspection of raw materials, works in process and finished goods inventories.*
8. Reports and tracks any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action to appropriate management.*
9. "Determines validity of customer complaints and/or inspection of returned goods.
10. Resolves customer complaints or problems in regard to rejected or non-conforming product."*
11. Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.*
12. Supervises quality Inspectors to ensure performance of all internal and external quality checks.*
13. Works in conjunction with the Production Department and Shipping/Receiving Department to ensure efficiency in the manufacturing process.*
14. Maintains ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.*
15. Reports/tracks any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action as necessary to management. Recommends and implements new testing equipment.*
16. Develops programs to encourage each employee to perform quality control as a part of their operation.*
17. Completes quality examinations by applying knowledge of proper company documentation or procedures and applicable sampling criteria.*
18. Suggests new testing or inspection methods to minimize inspection efforts required.*
19. Maintains ability to look at/analyze trends as a whole with NCP products.*
20. Maintains focus on improving the efficiency of each individual team member.*
21. Possesses experience with business administration.*
22. Maintains an intersection between communication, coordination and culture (The 3 Cs).*
23. Stays well versed on up-to-date guidelines.*
24. Maintains positive and level headed temperament with high integrity.*
25. Maintains showmanship versus technical ability.*
26. Performs other duties as assigned.

Language Ability:

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, inventory software, design software, manufacturing software, database software, and email.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and more than 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
