Western Health Advantage is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead moderate to complex business initiatives from planning through implementation. This role partners with business leaders, project teams, and external vendors to define requirements, manage resources, mitigate risks, and deliver solutions that support WHA’s strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and adaptable, with experience managing multiple priorities and guiding projects through the full project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead projects from initiation and requirements gathering through testing, implementation, and deployment.
  • Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify resources, and develop schedules to support timely completion.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, analyze, and validate business and system requirements.
  • Manage multiple related projects while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines, documentation, and status reports.
  • Communicate project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manage project scope, changes, vendor relationships, resources, and competing priorities.
  • Monitor project outcomes and resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical-path concerns.
  • Identify and mitigate project and program risks that may affect scope, schedule, budget, or delivery.
  • Analyze project data and business processes to identify improvements and new opportunities.
  • Perform testing and quality assurance activities for assigned projects.
  • Develop business cases, procedures, work instructions, and other project documentation.
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication regarding decisions, responsibilities, and next steps.
  • Maintain knowledge of end-to-end business processes and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support additional departmental initiatives and special projects as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Two to five years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Analyst, Project Coordinator, or Project Manager.
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, SDLC, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools; Jira and Smartsheet experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio is a plus.
  • Previous healthcare industry experience, preferably within an HMO or health plan, is preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, establish credibility, solve problems, and develop consensus across teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to changing priorities and competing demands.
  • Intermediate proficiency with email, databases, word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
