About This Position
Position Description: The Role of a Mental Health Counselor at Bettys
A Bettys mental health counselor is a team-oriented health professional whose primary responsibility is providing high-quality mental health services for our patients. A Bettys Counseling Supervisor will work collaboratively with our clinical staff and care coordinators to ensure each patients care plan addresses their ongoing mental health and wellness needs.
Bettys clinicians report directly to the Bettys Medical Director. The Counseling Supervisor will work together with the Medical Director in the planning, development, and implementation of standard operating procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Please note the following is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties required for this position.
- Provide Clinical supervision to counselors
- Present staff-level recommendations
- Review legal documentation to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, federal, state and local regulations, and licensure requirements.
- Provide formal training related to clinical services.
- Provide high-quality individual mental health care
- Maintain fluency with Bettys clinical guidelines for integrating gynecology, wellness, and behavioral health
- Work collaboratively with Clinical Provider and Care Coordinator
- Support the establishment of Bettys referral network in San Antonio
Basic Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited relative Masters level program
- Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor or Psychologist (or equivalent) by the State of Texas
- Experience in specialized areas relevant to the young female demographic, such as: depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma recovery, sexual trauma/violence, eating disorder recovery, sexual orientation and gender issues, interpersonal issues
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience
- 2+ years of supervising experience
- Experience working in care teams
- Experience in adolescent counseling
- Experience in womens reproductive and sexual health, wellness, nutrition/fitness
- Experience using electronic clinical systems
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
