Apprentice Maintenance Tech at LidWorks, Co. – Plant City, Florida

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining production equipment to optimize performance through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery. This role requires strong problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment, including experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Perform daily monitoring and scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
• Perform emergency/breakdown maintenance as needed to support plant operations.
• Diagnose and repair faulty mechanical equipment using manuals, schematics, blueprints, and other specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise during the shift.
• Apply working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, completing cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Competencies:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• In-depth mechanical knowledge of production equipment.
• Proficient in computer use for tracking and reporting maintenance activities.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• Certification from a trade school (preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum of two years of verifiable work experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Must possess basic mechanic hand tools.

Work Conditions:

• Must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
