About the Role:

This position is located on an offshore oil platform in Federal waters off the coast of southern California. We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding techniques such as Arc Welding, Tig Welding, Mig Welding, Brazing, and Flux Core. You will be required to read blueprints, fabricate metal, and operate overhead cranes. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all welding projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in welding or equivalent experience
• Experience in welding stainless steel
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience in metal fabrication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Oil and Gas Extraction, Mining and Quarrying industry
• Experience operating overhead cranes
• Experience with welding automation
• Experience with robotic welding systems

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding techniques such as Arc Welding, Tig Welding, Mig Welding, Brazing, and Flux Core
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding requirements
• Fabricate metal components using various welding techniques
• Operate overhead cranes to move materials and equipment
• Ensure all welding projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards

Skills:

Must be willing and able to work a 14 on 14 off schedule, consisting of 12 hour work shifts, living on the platform during your entire hitch in shared living quarters.

Desire to and understanding of how to work safe, follow all rules and regulations, and wear/use appropriate safety equipment at all times.

Able to pass swing rope certification to safely arrive to and from the platform and crew boat.

Working outdoors in all weather.
