Dietary Aid at Summit Health and Living – Summitville, Indiana

1. Assisting in preparation and portioning of meal items according to menu and diet requirements observing sanitation procedures.
2. Assisting in the service of meals in accordance with sanitation standards and proper diet requirements.
3. Set up trays and carts according to menu and diet requirements.
4. Checks food and beverage to assure proper temperature for service.
5. Assists with washing dishes maintaining sanitary procedures.
6. Prepare in between meal nourishments and takes to nourishment pantry.
7. Cleans equipment, work tables, utensils, floors, etc. as needed / assigned.
8. Cooperates with fellow employees.
9. Performs related duties as assigned.
10. Buses and cleans tables in dining room after meals as assigned.
11. Maintain good personal hygiene and adhere to uniform requirements.
12. Promote positive public relations for the facility.

Job requirements

Must be able to read, write, communicate effectively and follow oral and written directions.

Should have some knowledge and ability in handling kitchen equipment and simple preparation tasks.

Willing to perform repetitive tasks as assigned.

Must be able to exercise judgment and initiative in dealing with residents.

Must be able to maintain work pace.

Must be willing to work as a team (cooperatively with others.
