Role Overview
The Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the performance of the multifamily property portfolio, ensuring financial targets are met, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role requires strong analytical and financial skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal leadership, lenders, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee operational and financial performance of all multifamily properties.
• Track KPIs such as occupancy, rental growth, NOI, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Prepare annual operating budgets; monitor performance vs. budget and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly reports to CEO and Operations Team; prepare variance analysis and strategic insights.
• Serve as primary contact with lenders, insurers, and financial institutions; ensure compliance with all requirements.
• Finalize quarterly and annual investor distribution plans; perform and review waterfall calculations.
• Maintain and update property valuation models; assist in refinancing, disposition, and acquisitions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or Economics (Master’s preferred).
• 3–7 years of experience in multifamily real estate asset management or related financial/analytical role.
• Strong background in accounting and finance, including budgeting, control, and waterfall calculations.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software; Yardi/RealPage familiarity is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to prepare reports for executive leadership and investors.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
