Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a non-profit organization and one of the largest Hispanic Community Development Corporations in the United States. The organization began with a group of student and community activists in 1967, and was incorporated and received non-profit status in 1969 to fight discrimination against the Mexican American community. Inspired by Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez, we advocated for equity in education, politics, and labor conditions. Advise employees and managers on the organization's leave programs, including maternity or paternity leave, medical or disability leave, military leave, or unpaid leave, FML, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, and other federal and state leaves.
Oversee daily activities of leave and accommodation administration, eligibility, and communication for the organization.
Be relied on for your extensive knowledge of all employee benefits laws, regulations and processes.
Ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA provisions and files required State and Federal reports as required.

You are an advisor to employees regarding eligibility and coverage for such programs as health, dental, vision, group life, long- and short-term disability, retirement, income continuation, and other such policies.
You possess sound judgment with a strong commitment to compliance and confidentiality.
You are a superior communicator verbally and in writing with great interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
You are technology wiz and can provide support to complete actions in our HRIS/Payroll systems as needed.
You love exploring new places! Travel could be up to 10% in this position for special circumstances (training, benefits support etc.)

High School diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of experience administering corporate benefits and leave administration.
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience administering corporate benefits and leave administration.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of one (1) year of experience administering corporate benefits and leave administration.
Certification in Benefits Administration preferred
