Paving Foreman at Palmetto Corp. of Conway – Greer, South Carolina

The Paving Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily paving operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with specifications. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to direct crews, operate within budget, and deliver high-quality paving results.

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct paving crew members in daily operations.
• Schedule and assign work to ensure timely project completion.
• Monitor paving processes, including asphalt placement, compaction, and finishing.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications.
• Inspect work areas to maintain quality control and resolve issues as needed.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate daily reports on labor, materials, and equipment usage.
• Train and mentor crew members to develop skills and improve performance.
• Operate paving equipment as necessary to support the crew.
• Address on-site challenges promptly and efficiently.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade training preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of paving or asphalt construction experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

• Exposure to weather, noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and overtime based on project demands.
• Clean 10 year MVR
