DermSurgery Associates is seeking a detail-oriented Dermatology Billing Specialist to support accurate, timely billing for patients and providers. You’ll manage claims from initial review through follow-up, using medical records, coding knowledge, and billing software to resolve issues and help keep the billing process running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
- Review medical records and verify patient and insurance information before submitting claims.
- Apply ICD-10 and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes, using ICD and Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) knowledge as applicable.
- Submit and track claims; investigate denials, correct errors, payment posting, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Support medical collections with professional customer service and clear communication about billing questions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Use billing software and Microsoft Office to document work and support billing operations.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare claims management, health insurance, medical terminology, and medical records.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical billing software.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills.
