The Oracle Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments with a particular focus on FastConnect implementation, landing zone architecture, and automated application deployment. This role demands expertise with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and configuration management using Ansible to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure landing zones to provide secure, scalable, multi-account environments aligned with best practices.
  • Deploy and manage Oracle FastConnect private network connectivity solutions to establish high-throughput, low-latency connections between on-premises data centers and OCI.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure using Terraform, including networking, compute, storage, and security resources.
  • Manage configuration and application deployments using Ansible to enable repeatable, consistent, and automated setups.
  • Oversee application deployment pipelines and integration with cloud infrastructure to support continuous delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud architecture that meets business and operational requirements.
  • Monitor cloud environment performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Write and maintain comprehensive documentation covering architecture, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience deploying and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with proven expertise in FastConnect and landing zone architectures.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate OCI resource provisioning.
  • Proficiency in configuration management and application deployment using Ansible.
  • Practical experience deploying and managing applications in OCI environments, with knowledge of CI/CD integration.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including dedicated connectivity solutions like FastConnect.
  • Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database, GoldenGate, object storage, and other OCI services preferred.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and operational tasks.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications (OCI Architect, OCI Developer) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication abilities..
