Facilities Maintenance at Acupath Laboratories, Inc. – Plainview, New York

Acupath Laboratories, Inc., a CLIA-approved, NYS-licensed, with a CAP-accredited Diagnostics Division is seeking a Facilities Support professional to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment in our medical laboratory. This role is critical to ensuring that our laboratory operates at our peak capacity.

The following statements outline the general duties, responsibilities, and competencies required to perform the essential functions of this role. They are not intended to provide an exhaustive list of all tasks and expectations associated with the position.

Responsibilities:

• Receive deliveries from UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other delivery providers.
• Distribute received materials to appropriate departments and/or personnel.
• Prepare shipments for delivery.
• Prepare kits and vials necessary for supply orders.
• Print requisition forms.
• Monthly inventory of requisition forms and kit supplies.
• Assist reception and Sales Representatives with questions regarding clients and supplies.
• Dispose of cardboard and various other debris.
• Assist service vendors.
• Change or fix lighting in the building.
• Carry out other projects and/or duties that may be assigned occasionally.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of janitorial or environmental services experience, ideally in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
