Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Full-time Medical Assistant is needed for an established Allergy/Asthma practice.

IMPORTANT: **Travel to and between each of our four office locations is required**

**Reliable transportation is a MUST**

We are a patient-centered and privately-owned, allergy and asthma practice with four office locations (Jacksonville and Orange Park). We have a team-based approach to patient care with a special focus on treating every patient with the utmost care and compassion. Our medical assistants work closely with patients and physicians to ensure the highest quality patient care possible. We are closed on the weekends and major holidays so that our staff can enjoy their families, friends, and own free time.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Escorting patients to exam rooms and taking their vital signs.
• Preparing patient charts for the physicians, entering and scanning information into the electronic health record
• Performing diagnostic tests: Spirometry, allergy skin tests, and others
• Administering allergy injections and biologic medications
• Receiving and returning patient phone calls. Communicating patient concerns to the physicians
• Maintaining and stocking supplies in exam rooms/injection rooms
• Performing prior authorizations for biologic medications
• Assisting the physicians coordinate essential patient care duties.

Essential Qualification Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certification
• Proficient computer skills
• Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Professional and effective communication with the patients, manager, physicians, coworkers
• Positive customer service
• Reliable transportation. Travel to and between the four office locations is required.

Education and/or Experience

• Medical Assistant Certification with at least one year of MA experience
• Allergy/asthma or ENT experience is preferred.
• EMR experience required.
