Dispatcher at DREXEL BUILDING SUPPLY INC – Kewaskum, Wisconsin

We are looking for a rockstar to Dispatch in our new Kewaskum, WI facility! THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. This team member will be the conductor for coordinating all incoming and outgoing materials in the most efficient and customer-focused way. An individual rooted in, and dedicated to our 11 Core Values and our Drexel Commitment will drive this team to success!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Has FUN!!! Sets the tone and attitude of the dispatch room.

A solution provider for all delivery specialists at job sites, dispatch specialists in fulfillment center, and account managers

Investigates problems and issues that occur on their team and works with yard leader to train team members and creates preventable solutions to prevent similar issues in the future

Sets loads, trucks, drivers, and routes accurately and efficiently

Grinds out present day and next day scheduled deliveries

Semi-Coordinator

Prints and sets up deliveries from other locations (files or schedules deliveries on the board) to ensure THE BEST communication

Holds delivery and dispatch specialists ACCOUNTABLE to make sure all are fulfilling their duties properly and efficiently

Focuses on “Journey Values” and lean operation.

Can listen as well as they can lead

Expectation to also perform duties of yard operations, as needed.

As you grow in your role you will assist in training and motivating new team members.

Traits/Experience:

Have strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills

A passion for data driven decisions and process improvement

Background in managing inventory, shipping/receiving and yard processes

Must be resourceful & organized

Have a natural sense of urgency

Strong computer and technology skills

Be cool with sitting at a computer most of the day

Happy to assist internal/external customers with excellent customer service

Be team focused and able to fill gaps to ensure overall team success
