Job Summary:
The Program Coordinator for the Morris Cancer Center works under the direction of leadership to plan, organize, coordinate and direct day-to-day activities related to a program within the department, Coordinates research activities, Supervises technical and professional staff,
Job Requirements:
Bachelor s Degree in a related field required
Minimum of 3years of administrative experience required, preferably within an oncology setting
Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred
Job Duties:
- Coordinates research activities, studies and staffing needs
- Trains, supervises, valuates and/or disciplines subordinate staff
- Conducts orientation and ensures the integration of new staff members into the Department and work unit
- Recommends the hiring, firing, promoting, demoting, performance evaluations, transfers and/or disciplining of employees, as well as other personnel actions according to University policies and procedures
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Maintains time and attendance records, and coordinates schedules; conducts personnel evaluations in a timely manner
- Interacts with the Department of Human Resources regarding personnel matters
- Provides internal management and consultative services to professional staff, program directors and faculty, with respect to planning, developing and carrying out proposals and objectives
- Develops and submits administrative plans and devises implementation and control procedures which will ensure administrative and clinical services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner
- In conjunction with clinical research faculty, assists through learn approach in the coordination and preparation of grant reports for research program
- Prepares reports containing findings, analysis, conclusion and recommendations as requested
- Assists in the preparation of budgets, as well as budget revisions, as required
- Analyzes and interprets operating budgets to determine that all appropriate expenses are included
- Manages budgets and maintains records of fiscal expenditures
- Ensures all supplies are ready to use in studies and that inventories are stocked
- Coordinates schedules with research team and school officials to ensure efficient performance of study
