Retail Pharmacy Operations

Fill and verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently while following all safety and legal guidelines.

Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure smooth operations during your shift.

Maintain accurate patient profiles, process insurance claims, and manage pharmacy workflow.

Customer Service & POS Duties
-
Provide outstanding service at the pharmacy counter—greeting customers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.

Handle transactions at the point of sale (POS) system, including processing prescriptions, collecting copays, and resolving payment issues.

Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring patient satisfaction and loyalty.

Educate patients on our pharmacy services, including immunizations, medication reviews, and wellness programs.

Patient Counseling & Medication Safety

Counsel patients on proper medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions.

Review prescriptions for accuracy and safety before dispensing.

Support patients in managing chronic conditions by offering education and resources.

Compliance & Safety
-
Ensure strict adherence to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal procedures.

Maintain secure and organized medication storage and dispensing practices.

Document and report any concerns or discrepancies in accordance with company policy.

Team Collaboration

Work seamlessly with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow and deliver consistent service.

Communicate effectively with both coworkers and healthcare providers.

Step into leadership when necessary to guide and support the team during your shift.

PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
-
Active state pharmacist license in good standing

Availability to work on short notice, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

1–2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred

Strong communication and customer service skills

Experience with POS systems and retail pharmacy workflows
