Job Overview
As the Grants Manager I (GMI) at AltaMed, reporting to the Director of Grants Management (DGM), the Grants Manager I (GMI) administers a portfolio of low-to-moderate complexity awards under the guidance of the Senior Grants Manager and/or Director of Grants Management. This role focuses on acquiring basic knowledge and executing core grant management responsibilities, including monitoring program deliverables, tracking expenditures, maintaining compliance with the 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance and other funder requirements, and preparing standard reports. GMI collaborates with internal teams to ensure grant-funded activities remain on track and compliant, while developing professional-level skills in portfolio management, budget tracking, and cross-departmental coordination. The position requires a basic understanding of grant life-cycle management, 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance, and funder-specific policies, and it provides opportunities to handle increasingly complex awards.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in business, public administration, accounting, or related field, OR one year of grant-related experience; OR HS diploma and two years of relevant experience.
Background in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field such as Public Health is desirable, but not required.
Public or nonprofit sector experience preferred.
Familiarity with legal procedures and language is desirable, but not required.
Compensation
$70,304.00 - $87,880.00 annuallyCompensation Disclaimer
Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change.
