We are seeking an accomplished Physician Medical Director to join our expanding team of OB/GYN physicians, women’s health nurse practitioners, and certified nurse midwives. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered outpatient and inpatient primary care services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical leadership, strategic vision, and administrative expertise in guiding the OB/GYN department. Key responsibilities include ensuring the highest standards of patient care, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, and spearheading the development of innovative programs that advance women’s health services, including obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health. The position is committed to promoting continuity of care, championing evidence-based practices, and fostering enduring relationships with patients and their families.

- Provide overall clinical leadership for obstetrics and gynecology services.
- Perform patient histories, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized treatment planning.
- Establish and uphold clinical standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Monitor patient outcomes andlead toquality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee daily department operations, including staffing and scheduling.
- Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and accreditation requirements.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate physicians and clinical staff.
- Lead strategic planning and development of women’s health programs.
- Collaborate with leadership team andmaintain(if applicable) an active clinical practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols.
- Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care while engaging patients and families in shared decision-making and interdisciplinarycollaboration
- Oversee and provide direct comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynecology OB/GYN services.
- Allocate andutilizeadministrative time for strategic planning, staff development, clinical documentation review, care coordination, and participation in leadership meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
What you need to succeed
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a valid and unrestricted medical license.
- 5–10+ years of clinical experience in OB/GYN.
- Prior leadership or administrative experience preferred (e.g., department chair, program director).
- Registered and have current DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legallyoperateas a practitioner in the State of Texas or be able to obtain
- Experience with eClinicalWorks or similaralong withMS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word,PowerPointand Excel)
