About This Position
Job Summary
Responsible for receiving, issuing, tracking, and maintaining tools, consumables, and small equipment to support field and fabrication operations. Ensures tool readiness, inventory accuracy, calibration compliance, and safe, organized tool room/yard operations.
Key Responsibilities Include: (But not limited to the following)
- Issue/return tools; verify condition, charge-out to jobs, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform physical receiving, labeling, kitting, and staging for jobs; support job launches.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with field teams to ensure timely tool support, resolve issues, and align tool room operations with jobsite needs.
- Support physical cycle counts; maintain min/max levels for tools and consumables.
- Coordinate repairs and calibration with our tool mechanic.
- Support test and prep tools; manage correspondent power cords and chargers.
- Maintain tool room/yard organization, signage, and safety compliance.
- Operate forklifts/pallet jacks safely to move tools, gang boxes, and materials.
- Support equipment reservations, deliveries/pickups, and tool room.
- Assist with continuous improvement, standard work, and visual management.

Experience
- 1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar discipline
- Dependable and responsible who can take direction and work with little supervision
- Excellent communication and group presentation skills
Physical Demands:
- Ability to learn technical material
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Regularly lift, carry, and move tools/equipment up to 50–75 lbs.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Work in varying weather conditions in the tool room/yard.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and data interpretation abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
- Experience with ERP or construction management software (e.g., Viewpoint, Procore, SAP, Spectrum).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
