About the Role:
The Guest Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas within the hotel are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. This position directly impacts guest satisfaction by providing a welcoming and hygienic environment that meets or exceeds the expectations of all visitors. The attendant is responsible for thorough cleaning, restocking supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues to ensure a seamless guest experience. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence. Ultimately, the Guest Room Attendant contributes to creating a positive and memorable stay for every guest through consistent and dedicated service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English or Spanish.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Customer service experience with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a spotless environment.
- Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items according to hotel standards.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items to the appropriate department promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly after each shift.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team and other hotel staff to maintain overall cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
